Are you a carer whose loved-one has had to go into a care home?

Do you feel lost, lonely, need information and support but don’t know where to turn?

Then ‘Carers Moving Forward’ can help.

How can we help?

Carers Moving Forward is a new group for those who have been carers and who then have had to hand over the care of their relative or friend to someone else.

We offer friendship and support to people who suddenly find the help they had been receiving as carers is no longer there.

We understand why they may feel abandoned, guilty and confused about what is expected of them now because we have first-hand knowledge of what it’s like.

We provide a monthly group meeting with speakers, information, friendship with others in a similar situation and social activities.

Join us!

Our Bournemouth and Poole group meets on the third Wednesday of the month at St Ambrose Cottage Carers’ Centre, Alumhurst Road, Westbourne, (next to Christ Church) from 10am – 12noon. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Please note that due to the ongoing success of the group, we will now be expanding our services and support to those who are recently bereaved.
